As a Sales Trainer, you have an important role. You are responsible for the onboarding and training of new members of our salesforce and helping them ramp up to success!

 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and deliver course curriculum for new hires, experienced representatives, and sales managers
  • Teach sales trainees how to develop prospective client and customer lists, telephone prospecting, negotiating, overcoming objections, and closing the deal.
  • Provide training and coaching to sales representatives in the office and in the field
  • Report on progress of sales trainees under guidance during training period
  • Ride along with sales reps providing additional coaching and training
  • Create and manage database for tracking sale rep development and training initiatives
  • Assess individual's development and training needs and provide feedback to management staff
  • Improve performance of underperforming sales representatives
  • Continue education of all sales representatives to improve and ensure the further development and product knowledge
  • Assist in developing new training courses associated with the introduction of new products or services
  • Design, deploy, or acquire new and innovative training programs for sales organization
  • Collaborate with Headquarters team to provide consistent training, maintain parent company vision, and enforce sales model
  • Work with sales managers, HR Director, and Recruiter to recruit/select best candidates for sales positions and to reduce turnover
  • Develop and coach sales leaders so that they can have a positive impact on their team's performance

 

 

Qualifications needed:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of outside sales experience in the office products industry
  • Specialized education in marketing, sales, and adult training/education skills as would be acquired in college and/or prior experience as a sales trainer.
  • Proven track record of developing talent in a fast-paced organization
  • Prior experience in transforming a sales training and development function
  • Knowledge and application of adult learning theory, group behavior, motivational theories, selling techniques, and communication techniques
  • Background in course development, presentation, and workshop facilitation
  • Familiar with leading edge sales training concepts
  • Experience using a variety of assessment tools
  • Strong business orientation and product knowledge
  • Proven track record of tailoring training content and delivery to the unique audience needs
  • Proficiency using MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance at or above company requirements
