Essential Functions

  • Maintain minimum level of expertise on all hardware and software solutions within product portfolio measured by testing and certifications through the manufacturer's training portals and/or hands-on training labs
  • Provide pre-sale technical support to sales staff for all hardware and software solutions within product portfolio via conference calls, webinars, demos, and onsite visits
  • Engineer dynamic hardware and software solutions for current and prospective customers tailored to increase productivity while providing measurable benefits to the customer
  • Determine and verify proper product configuration
  • Demonstrate the features and benefits of a product to internal and external customers
  • Provide oversight and coordination of the demo facilities to ensure they are capable of demonstrating both hardware and software solutions effectively
  • Work with team members to effectively implement hardware and software solutions
  • Provide guidance to the sale team when placing connected products in different computing environments
  • Provide installation and networking services for strategic accounts
    • Work at customer site to connect product, including loading and testing of software and network connections
    • Install software remotely
  • Provides product training for hardware and software solutions to customers in conjunction with the sales team
  • Train and support IT field analysts to provide software implementation and onsite support of non-strategic accounts
  • Provide technical connected product information to internal and external customers
  • Conduct problem analysis and utilize troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues during the entire sales cycle
  • Provide Tier 2 software and MFP support; seek support of software vendors for Tier 3 support
  • Train and support Helpdesk staff to provide Tier 1 software support
  • Increase remote install capability to allow IT field analysts to provide more solutions support

Other Functions

  • Perform product launches and technical presentations to the sales staff and/or customers as needed
  • Attend pertinent professional courses, seminars, and workshops to maintain the highest level of professional competence
  • Other duties as assigned. Management reserves the right to add or delete duties as deemed appropriate.

    Work Experience

    • Requires a minimum of two years of related experience
    • High level computer and computer networking skills
    • Strong working knowledge of managing computer networks and Microsoft servers/clients and other platforms is essential.
    • Proficiency with managing Microsoft servers, clients, AD, and Windows networks
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Strong knowledge of multifunction devices and document management solutions is a plus
